Bayston Hill Quarry helps to repair local footpath

October 12, 2020

In October 2020, Bayston Hill Quarry donated 10 tonnes of 40mm scalping’s to Bayston Hill Parosh Council so that they were able to improve the footpath around the Bayston Hill Community Woodland and Lythwood Sports Complex.

As well as donating the stone, the quarry sent five volunteers to help the parish council employees complete the work. Together the team helped to lay the new path, covering holes and levelling the ground to provide safer access.

Speaking of the donation James Dunford, relief supervisor said: “We are proud to have been able to support Bayston Hill Parish Council with this project. The team really enjoyed getting out to help lay the path and were pleased to be able to give something back to the local community.”

Shaun Jones, locum clerk at Bayston Hill Parish Council said: “We are extremely grateful to the quarry for helping us to repair the footpath. The team from the quarry were really helpful and the stone has really improved the quality of the footpath for residents to use.”
